Micare Basecoat will seal porous floors. It forms a barrier against alkaline cleaners, water, oil and grease. It will give improved wear resistance and a higher gloss finish. For example use two thin coats, then two thin coats of Topgloss on top to give the floor a deep high gloss. On porous floors such as terrazzo and linoleum If polish is applied without Basecoat it will soak in and always appear dull.
